Last Sunday: August 17th, Beth Cadematori gave a "farewell" sermon. [Please visit the Services/Sermons page to hear her sermon] Beth grew up in this church and for the past year was the Church's administrative assistant, AND Youth Director. She touched the lives of ALL our Youth through her sweet, generous caring and the terrific programs she put together. Her sermon brought to mind the passages from Psalms listed above. These are very bold statements. In fact, there are probably many people in this world who say "that is NOT true. God cannot, will not, is not able to... lift up my head and be a shield around me". Perhaps so in some cases. However, look at all the times things have worked out, you have been protected, you have been guided, cared for, watched over!
Dear Father-Mother God, ever-present good, the sheltering wing during the storm, the "lifter up" of my head, I know that you know what I have need of and have met my need. I fill my heart with gratitude for your care and omnipotent presence. Amen.
You are welcome into our Community where we strive to live our mission: Christ in the world making a difference.
We have Bible study, fellowship, prayer teams, Friday night youth activities, a mentoring/tutor program for children in school, handbell choirs, voice choirs for adults and for children..... lots of ways to connect with others and reach out to the world -- being a living example of "Christ in the world making a difference".
